Green has become likable. Even the old guy Makita has loosened his opinion , welcome back Maki.

Great job all year Carol . Hopefully it will be an even more eventful offseason.

Walk or re-sign?

Don't think trading Boeser is a good option, he's still coming into his own. Give him another year or two.

Re-sign, just love saying his name.

Fair enough, but Brock's skating is not good for this league.

Thanks Carol, great coverage of the bubble tourney. Really enjoyed the inside perspective!

Interesting to see all the perspectives, i thought Boeser was one of the few forwards that showed up last night. Him and Petey anyway. Anyway, what a run! Hopefully they can move LE/Sutter and keep as much of this crew together as possible.

He definitely needs to add an element to his game. He's like Laine, a bit one dimensional.

Either needs to be a much better player along the boards like TT, or be faster to create more space, or heavier on the forecheck to separate people.

Also definitely needs to be quicker with his shot, he holds it too long. These playoffs showed that.

He will be on LTIR for the rest of his career, no point in him risking his life when he has been gifted 3-4 million a year as a retirement package.

If you asked me a month ago Markstrom or Demko I would have absolutely said Markstrom . Demko has never played like this before. The other thing that concerned me was Markstrom's repeated groin issue at crucial times. I think if you can bring Markstrom in at 4 .5 mil (original offer) and play him less next year as not to overwork him without a NTC then go with the both of them but playing Demk a lot more.

That is what I think too. I was curious as to the timing of his agents comments. I hope he is not thinking of trying again.

Honestly, I would only offer that contract if we could trade him this year, Demko is the future (7 years younger). There should be teams offering him (Markstrom) 6 mil + anyways.

If next year is going to be a 40 game schedule I would definitely roll the dice on Demko.

I think that if TG knew Demko would be playing at that insane level, Marky wouldn't have been playing the back-to-backs and he would have been good through the playoffs. Now, that wouldn't have changed the outcome of the series, but I think his groin issue is more about being ridden than anything.

I doubt Marky would sign a 4.5 deal without a NTC. He might give up less money to be here, but that would mean being here for a long time (NMC).

Is Gaudette the answer at 3rd line Center or is he part of a package to get a top 4
D - man? Would Ristolainen for Gaudette, Baertschi and Rathbone work. Would be similar cap and Baertschi is a former player for Krueger who might help him re-start his career.

No one knew that Demko could play that level. The thing about this off season is there is a large amount of good goalies available and with a flat cap I think their agents know the cost could come down.

I want Marky Demko but I have no issue with Holtby/Demko or Halak/ Demko.

Interesting, the team and fans are pretty high on Rathbone though.

Take out Baertschi and add Eriksson and sure. Gaudette was on his way to 20 G and Rathbone was one of the best AHL Dmen in his first year .

Also give us a second round pick

If Krueger likes Baertschi we can throw him in as a sweetner.
